How Do I Send A Fax From My Computer

How Do I Send A Fax From My Computer

Sending a fax from your computer could never be easier in these modern age and times. Please follow the following directions below to perform the task. Pay special attention to all the details. Your P.C. must have an online connection for this task.

• Prepare and organize the perspective fax documents by putting them in order and naming the document for later retrieval.

• Make out your fax cover sheet that has your contact information, date, time, message, recipient, and numbers. This is very important or your fax may not reach its destination.

• Open the program you use to fax with such as (faxpro, word, office etc.).

• Click on the icon that says (Send, Send Fax, or New fax) etc. This prepares your fax for transmitting.

• Follow directions and all requested information from the fax software. Provide Numbers, names, and any other requests.

• Stipulate if a cover sheet was sent along with the document.

• You will be asked by your fax program to attach the document you wish to fax. Follow all directions requested from program.

• When you have finished the above task the software will ask if you are ready to fax. Upon clicking on (yes, send, or send fax) the machine will begin dialing the numbers programed into the software you have chosen for your fax transmission. Sometimes most often there is an audible sound like dialing of a phone heard from the PC being used.

• Upon a strong connection with the recipients fax receiving machine your PC will begin to fax the document.

• After the fax transmission is complete your PC will visually confirm that the fax transmission was successful or not. The PC will do this by sending a message on the monitor or by printing a transmission report through the computer.

There may be some variances to these directions but most fax programs will adhere to these similar directions.
